I started this topic on the [R1OT] boards, but seeing as we've moved, here it is again.

I'm curious as to peoples music habits. Post 'em up. What you listen to; when you listen to it; where you listen; why you listen; whatever.

I listen to music constantly myself, I'm pretty sure I've never turned it off. I'll listen to anything. ANYTHING. I prefer a good blend of power metal, death metal, hardcore, contemporary jazz, and j-pop.
I've always got music on while I play games, urban terror included, except for when my pc sound dies out, which has been happening a lot lately . You almost always see *noSound or *musicz next to my IGN as a representation of such.

Guns N Roses. I listen to old guns, new guns, anything guns.
I like Velvet Revolver, I like Stone Temple Pilots.
I am basically a big Rock/Grunge guy.
I have a million musical interests extending into basically every genre.
(I do like Justin Timberlake, yes )
I love Johnny Cash. I could like basically anything you throw at me.

my favorite band is Nirvana.
i also like AC/DC,stuff like that.

i listen to just about anything... from bob marley to rascal flatts... only think i wont listen to is mexican music and clasical haha

Then you have me. I like country, celtic, and good old hymns. It isn't much, but in the words of I believe Tim McGraw, "I like it, I love it, I want some more of it."

haha English remember when you loved nirvana?? What a phase that was =P You were all like I'm only ever going to wear stripes, sweaters, and flannel. =]

I like a lot of random stuff. Example, my two favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails, and Apples in Stereo. It depends on my mood. Pretty much anything not hiphop or gangstuh or boring goes =]

Metal, like Judas Priest and Metallica

I like a little bit of everything. The music I write is mostly laid-back acoustic rock or early 90's grungy stuff. The music I listen to is usually something rockin' and spacey. I'm a big fan of Modest Mouse, Neil Young, Portishead, Radiohead, Biggie Smalls, The Black Keys, Bob Dylan, and The White Stripes. I find myself listening to a lot of oldschool hip-hop here lately. Good stuff. The only kinds of music I don't really like are the pop and country songs from recent years. Things really went downhill in both of those genres after the mid-nineties, IMO.

edit: I forgot to mention, I love me some bluegrass when sitting on the back porch after a joint or two. Living in rural North Carolina, it only feels right.

I like bluegrass too, but mostly country. My favorites are Chicken-Fried, Mr. Mom, Courtesy of the Red, White, And Blue. Also Whiskey For My Men, Beer for My Horses. Shoot I like it all. I never been into rock or anything else. I am country boy and I don't have a four-wheel drive.

I guess my musical taste depends on my moods, I'm really just a Rock/Metal guy. Slipknot, Killswitch Engage etc. I usually only listen to metal.

Oh, cool. I'm going to a battle of the featuring an awesome local band, Lions for Lambs, and Killswitch. Should be pretty awesome.

I am the guitarist of a band. We play some pretty mellow stuff and some rockin' stuff. Spire is the singer.

Edit: I love my Gibson Les Paul. She is one crazy bitch.

I'm a drummer for a hardcore/crust band and we're doing a battle of the bands thing pretty soon, I think in the next few weeks sometime.

I want to be drums. When I get one we are going to turn people into metal just from hearing us

I've been playing drums for close to 7 years now. I'll play just about any style of music, but I prefer metal or hardcore. My warm up songs as of now are: Nile, Falconer, Staind, The Veronicas, Najee, Six Feet Under, Blink 182, Aus Rotten. Just to give a sense of what I mean when I say any style...
